The challenge :

Building marketing campaigns is not easy ! From 4 Ps of Marketing to XDs of Data Sources required to deliver the campaign dependencies, the marketer is a master juggler, juggling through multiple variables to bring the campaign to live. In this juggling often the customer ball gets dropped and smashes all of the hopes and dreams of meeting the objective.

For example – well lets not point fingers and remind marketers of their mistakes. They are only humans after all ! Instead, here’s how they feel when a million dollar campaign goes live.

The solution :

Imagine if every marketer had an AI sidekick, like Batman’s Robin or Harry Potter’s Hermione, but for marketing stuff. This AI assistant would be like a personal coach, giving you recommendations on what steps to take to achieve your business goals. It’s like having a marketing genie in a bottle, except without the weird singing and dancing. After brainstorming with your AI sparring partner, you’ll have a list of actionable tasks that you can use to tackle your marketing program. Just think of it like having a personal assistant who’s really good at marketing, but without the coffee runs.

Solving for Ideation – where magic happens

I created 2 personas, one was a product marketing manager and another was a digital marketing analyst. Both had a minor job description about what they did in the role and defined a common business objective that they are both working towards. Coding in Python, my definition looked something like this –

Hope you ignore that the example has food, was quite hungry when compiling this.

Now I asked GPT4 to impersonate the role of a human for the product marketing manager and AI assistant for digital marketing analyst. Now just like any day at work, I asked GPT4 to start ideating amongst themselves around what can be the best set of steps or activities to meet the objective.

Look at the activities it recommends and notice it also calls out its thoughts about being successful in these activities

Solving for execution – where magic turns business

Unfortunately I don’t have access to Adobe Workfront, hence instead I used the free version of JIRA cloud to integrate the results from GPT4 into user stories and activities based on your setup. On the next sprint call, the scrum master or the board owner can assign these tasks to the right people or get more clarity from the marketer.

Using API capabilities of JIRA, AI business stakeholder output is used as the task name and AI Business Assistant output is used as task description.

After the API calls are made, here how they look in JIRA :

Hope you found this helpful! How can we make the solution better?
