Try This Before Giving Up #LifeHack

To be honest with you, I am going through extremely tough times right now that impacts my future goals. With now success for months now I had planned to give up today and resign to my fate/destiny or whatever you might call it. But before I did, I decided to take a step back and setup a smaller goal that impacts my larger goal. Stressed, anxious and apprehensive as I was to face defeat, I worked through my weekends.

And I freaking achieved it!

You would not achieve the feeling after that. I could literally feel adrenaline raging through my body right now. The amount of energy and enthusiasm received killed all the negativity around it. I have been up for more than 12 hours now and go for at least 5 more. Most importantly, I got visibility to what my next best step should be and probably to the one after that. Would they help me to reach my goal? Only time would tell.

Let me stop gloating here and share my learning from this experience.

I learnt that – divide your larger goal into tiny mini smaller goal that you can achieve each day or weekend or week.But yes it is not that easy. It would help if you define your goal as a summary of a project and then look at what would be the required steps that you need to complete to reach that goal. Divide each step into a set of mini steps and assign a time frame for each one of them. Focus on completing that one mini step and prepare to be amazed by the positive energy kick you get after having achieved it.

Visualize your goal as one huge pixelated image and focus on completing one pixel at a time to join it with the other. You might fail to achieve that pixel but the positivity of having achieved others would definitely steer you forward. Good Luck!
